My Top 3 Favorite Places for Pumpkin Picking in Warwick NY

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing some new fall themed backdrops in the studio, sent by HSD Backdrops (you can view their website here). Most of the new backdrops involved apples and pumpkins. The apple-themed backdrops inspired a blog post on apple picking (you can read that here). One of my clients read that blog post and asked if I could write one about pumpkin picking in Warwick NY, so here we are! 

I thought it would be fun to give you a little peek into the pumpkin-themed session and also highlight my top 3 favorite places for pumpkin picking in Warwick NY.

The Session

So much pre-session work went into this fun fall-themed session! Once the backdrop had been selected, I set myself to the wardrobe planning! Miss Addison was again my model for this session along with her brother J. I had a vision of her in a pumpkin-themed sweater dress and shoes, and him in a cute little pair of overalls! Luckily, I found exactly what I wanted!

The Wardrobe

I was super pleased with this dress! It had the exact color combination I was imagining, and the cutest little pumpkin details. I found a matching set of tights from the same company. We completed the look with a braided headband and the perfect shoes!

Wright Family Farm – 329 Kings Highway – Family Fun Pumpkin Picking in Warwick NY

Wright Family Farm is one of my FAVORITE places to go Pumpkin Picking. The owners are so sweet and also there’s so much to do! In addition to being a great place to go pumpkin picking in Warwick NY, they also have a corn maze, a barnyard, and live music! They have pedal carts and a rubber ducky area. Apple Ridge Orchards – 101 Jessup Road – Activities and pumpkin picking in Warwick NY

Apple Ridge Orchards is one of our favorite places for pumpkin picking in Warwick NY (it was on the apple picking list, too!) This is because of how many different activities they have! Remember to visit the farm stand, where you can grab some fresh, hot apple cider and donuts! Apple Ridge also has tons of of animals that you can pet and interact with – my boys have done that a few times and always enjoyed it! If you’re into honey, you can pick some up at the Honey Bee Observation Hive! And don’t forget there are also hay rides and a spooky movie night, plus there’s barbecue! Pennings – 169 State Route 94 South – Food and pumpkin picking in Warwick NY

Pennings is another suggestion that was also on our apple picking list, because they really have a little bit of everything! I listed it on the apple picking post (here) but it’s worth listing everything they have to offer here, as well! They have face painting, kettle corn, ice cream, pumpkin picking, a large farmers market for shopping and depending on the time of day, food trucks! There’s also a fun area for the kids to play while the adults grab a drink and a bite to eat! Best of all – they offer nighttime pumpkin picking on select evenings – how cool!
